  • The seed phrase will be shown, click the lock to view the phrase, and note the words in the correct order. Keep the phrase secure, preferably offline, and never share it. This sequence of words is the wallet's final backup. Click [Next] to proceed.
  • Confirm the seed phrase by selecting the words in the correct order. Click [Confirm] when finished.
  • The MetaMask wallet is now ready for use. Click [All Done] to access the new wallet.

How to Add Fantom Tokens to MetaMask?

You can manually add Fantom tokens other than FTM to your wallet. Keep in mind that your wallet can still receive tokens that haven’t been imported.

To add a Fantom token to your wallet, follow these steps:

  1. Go to FTMScan and look for the token contract and details of the token you want to add. If you can’t find it on FTMScan, search for the contract address from the project’s official website or social media channels. Be wary of fake contracts made by scammers.
  2. Return to MetaMask and select [Import tokens].
  3. Copy and paste the token’s contract address. MetaMask will automatically fill in the rest of the details. If the information is not filled in, you will need to add them manually. Once done, click [Add Custom Token].
  4. Click [Import Tokens].
  5. Your wallet will now show the token you added along with its correct balance.
